When you really think about how everything in the human body works together, it is astounding. Tendons and muscles are an example of this.
We make so many movements throughout the day without ever thinking about how our body is accomplishing those movements. Many tendons are at work in our legs alone each time that we take a walk, jog, or run, and they keep us from tipping over.
Every time that we reach across the table for the salt, tendons are acting as rubber bands to keep our muscles bridled yet flexible. When we do situps, the tendons really get to exhibit their spring-like qualities as we contract and expand our abdominal muscles.
There are numerous examples of tendons and muscles at work. All illustrate the wonder of the human frame.
