What is Folliculinum?

Folliculinum is an alternative to estrogen hormones. Made from estrone, an estrogen secreted by the ovaries, it was created to assist women with a variety of menstrual and physical issues. It can also help treat emotional distress.

Women receiving homeopathy may have Folliculinum recommended to them after taking the birth control pill. This is the most common use of the herbal remedy. Many homeopaths believe the birth control pill distorts the body's natural rhythms, creating a sense of disconnect and disease within the body. To restore the body's equilibrium, this hormone is prescribed.

In treating these imbalances within the body, the synthetic estrogen is said to work on the patient's mental, emotional, and physical symptoms. Ovulation imbalances, such as spotting, burning, premenstrual syndrome, or pain during menstruation, are said to be cured by the remedy. Ovarian cysts, polycystic ovaries, and fibroids may all be treated by Folliculinum.

Feelings of being emotionally drained, depressed, or weepy have been known to be alleviated by this cure. Indecisiveness, mood swings, and panic attacks may also be tamed with the treatment. Cravings, particularly for sugar or wheat, can be curbed by taking the synthetic estrogen. Other symptoms that it can have a positive impact on include swelling, migraines, diarrhea, itching, low libido, high libido, vomiting, nausea, and breast pain.

Menopausal symptoms can also be alleviated through the use of Folliculinum. Hot flashes, night sweats, and other heat issues can be relieved. Other symptoms that may be abated through the treatment include dizziness, vaginal dryness, faintness, and hypersensitivity to heat, noise, or touch. Some homeopaths claim that the remedy can also increase self-esteem, and a general sense of well-being.

Some postnatal problems can be healed with Folliculinum. The inability to bond with a newborn, post-natal depression, and other conditions considered to be the result of an imbalance may be cured with the compound. Pregnant and nursing women should ask a medical practitioner before using the remedy for these purposes.

Cardiovascular disease and issues such as angina, tachycardia, or palpitations can sometimes be remedied with the supplement. It can also be useful in treating eating disorders. Raynaud's disease, a disorder in which the outer limbs acquire a coldness and numbness, is another condition treatable by the homeopathic medicine. Other similar vascular disorders can be eased by it as well.

Folliculinum may produce negative effects if overused. A consultation with a homeopath or medical doctor prior to use is recommended. The remedy can also be used by men in some situations.

Taking the birth control pill wouldn't be a necessity for you, if you had the underlying problem of endometriosis cured. The pill is merely suppressing your symptoms. if you saw a Homeopath and treated your body holistically you could become free from disease. Doesn't that seem like common sense?

Yes, people do what they want to do with their bodies and what matters is how much time you have, or how much time you think you have to correct your own body. Endometriosis is an imbalance that will take a whole lot of caring and time to chance to normal. And some people simply do not think they have the time, nor do they think they can trust their body for the change back to normal.

Some have a diagnosis from the doctor, who is supposed to know better than you what is best for you. So once you got diagnosed with something, you have it forever and you have to buy medicine forever or the rest of your life.

But in homeopathy there is a place and time for the body to heal it self. But people seem to have no time for such unimportant things.

I forgot to add; I am also aware of a newfound appreciation for my body. It feels like the holy place it is. There is a sense of caring for it in healthier activities. This is also brand new in my experience. --Cindy

Even though it's not specified for this use, I used this remedy for hormonal weight gain, but have seen no noticeable difference there so far. I did experience a proving symptom (profuse night sweats). A few days later now, and I find myself for the first time in memory feeling love for myself! It is an awesome feeling. That may be the improvement in 'self esteem'. But it feels so much deeper. --Cindy

@sunnySkys - I understand that you need the pill for your endometriosis. However, even you aren't feeling out of whack now, you might when you stop taking it.

My mom took the pill in the 70s and she said when she stopped taking it she didn't feel right for a few months. Her cycles were very irregular and she just felt "off." At that time, she actually did use homeopathic medicine to help get things back on track.

I'm not sure if folliculinum was around then though. But either way I urge you to keep the idea in the back of your mind for whenever you do stop taking the pill.

I think it's interesting that homeopaths think that birth control makes you "imbalanced." I mean, I suppose it does change your natural rhythms in a way when it tricks your body into think it is pregnant.

However, birth control pills are a necessity for me. I have endometriosis and taking birth control is the only thing that lets me lead a normal life. I personally don't care if I'm imbalanced or whatever!
